Lakes Region

Silver Lake Park Campground & Cabins

Silver Lake Park offers 600 feet of lakeshore to swim, play, boat, and fish. Tents and RVs are welcome, or you can rent a cabin complete with full kitchen, bathroom, living room with mounted HD cable TVs, free WIFI, heat/AC. This quiet campground also offers kayak, canoe, and boat rentals if you’re looking to get out on the lake.

Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort

This 4-season friendly camping resort offers tent sites, RV sites, cabins, and cottages, including 100+ sites that can accommodate big rigs. Great for families and for groups camping together, Danforth Bay offers two sandy beaches for fun in the sun, a family movie shown daily in the family room, and lots of playgrounds and athletic fields. A must-stay location for those who like lots of activity options and amenities.

Lake Ivanhoe Campground

This family-friendly Lakes Region campground offers spacious wooded sites for tents and RVs; you can even rent a camper onsite. Canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats are also available for rent. Kids (and parents!) are in for hours of fun with badminton, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, cornhole, shuffleboard, billiards, ping pong, pinball, and air hockey. There’s even an inflatable bounce house on weekends with good weather.

Long Island Bridge Campground

On the shore of Lake Winnepeseaukee, Long Island Bridge Campground has a loyal following of seasonal campers and it’s easy to see why. Beautiful views, a sandy shore, and a lively playground make it a great Lakes Region getaway. Tents and trailers welcome, cabin and trailer rentals are also available.

Ayers Lake Campground

A quiet, rustic campground that prides itself on an authentic lake camping experience, Ayers Lake Campground offers site for trailers, tents, and cottages for rent. Long-time seasonal campers boast of good bass fishing and foraging for wild blueberries. This is a great campground for those looking for a break from endless activity rosters and loud entertainment.


Loon Lake Campground

Loon Lake is a seasonal-only campground, with no weekend or nightly rates. But if you’re looking to make your home on the lake spring through autumn, Loon Lake Campgrounds offers a thriving community with a family-feel on beautiful, well-kept grounds.

Mascoma Lake Campground

This Upper Valley campground is family friendly with terraced sites so that all can share in the gorgeous views. RVs and tents are welcome, with cottage and cabin rentals available as well. Canoes and kayaks are free to borrow and sandcastle builders will love their spotless private beach.

Lake Massasecum Campground

Open to RVs and tents, with cabin rentals available, this lakeside campground offers a sandy beach, recreation hall, camp store with snack bar, and small watercraft rentals. Previous campers rave about the great fishing, relaxing atmosphere, and spectacular views.


Swanzey Lake Camping Area

Great fishing and a private beach on a crystal-clear spring fed lake await you at the Swanzey Lake Camping area. Wooded sites are able to accommodate tents and RVs up to 35 feet in length. Cottages, including one right by the shore, are available for rent, as are kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats.

Forest Lake Camping Ground

Ice cream socials, bingo nights, pot luck suppers, and family fun days make Forest Lake Camping Ground the perfect place for a traditional camping vacation. If you’ve got a longing for simpler times, this campground just south of Keene is for you.

White Mountains

Just North of White Mountain National Forest, the Mountain Lake Campground offers sites for tents and RVs, and rents cabins, a tipi and a yurt. A huge heated pool with water-park style slides, large playground, and a giant chess set make this a popular spot for families. The lake is home to bass, perch, and sunfish for anyone trawling for a good time.


Calef Lake Camping

Calef Lake Camping offers waterfront and wooded sites for seasonal and daily campers. A playground and activity field provide lots of opportunity for the kids to play, and the beach has designated swimming area and a pavilion for a break from the sun. Boats and canoes available to rent, enjoy some prime fishing or just relax on the water.

Great North Woods

Ramblewood Cabins & Campground

This North Woods gem offers cabins and campsites for RVs and tents, as well as a three sided shelter a quarter mile from the Cohos Trail. Located near Moose Alley, Ramblewood Cabins & Campground offers private lake access, outdoor games, canoe/kayak/motorboat rentals, trail access, free paddleboat rentals and plenty of wildlife spotting. No additional fee for pets (including in cabin rentals!) makes Ramblewood Cabins & Campground the most pet-friendly campground on our list.




  1. Anyone looking to camp or boat and drives through Wakefield, NH on Route 16 (White Mountain Highway) can rent a parking spot for their camper, RV, or boat at RightSpace Storage in Wakefield. Why tow it back and forth when you can just pick it up on the way by and then drop it back off? You can call them for more information.
