Tucked away in the Nashua airport, Midfield Cafe is your destination for breakfast and lunch with thrilling runway views and an impressive list of daily specials.
Midfield Cafe – 83 Perimeter Road, Nashua, NH 03064 | (603) 594-0930 | Open Wednesday – Sunday from 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Hang out on the deck at Midfield Cafe for a meal, and you’re bound to see three things: a plane or helicopter taking off or landing, kids swarming to get a view, and Sandy, Midfield’s owner, checking on tables to make sure everyone is taken care of.
It’s what make Midfield Cafe such a special place to visit. Well, that and the huge pancakes!
The rest of the menu is classic diner comfort food and reasonably priced as well. In particular, you can’t visit without trying the home fries. They’re seasoned and savory with just the right balance of crispy on the outside but creamy on the inside. It’s definitely worth rolling out of bed for a bite.
In addition to the classics, Midfield Cafe’s daily specials are deliciously creative. On my last visit, these were just a few of the stand out specials:
- Very Berry Croissant French Toast a la Mode with two eggs and meat.
- 1/2 Lobster and Crabcake Benedict AND 1/2 Steak Benedict.
- Pineapple Coconut Pancakes with two eggs and meat.
Where else can you find a menu like that?
Inside, Midfield’s dining room is small, casual, and filled with fun aviation decor and memorabilia. The Nashua Airport at Boire Field dates back to 1934. In 1941, it was named after Ensign Paul Boire, who was Nashua’s first casualty in World War II. Dining at Midfield is a unique way to experience and connect with this special part of Nashua’s history.
It’s also the best spot in the area to take kids to breakfast. Not only is there plenty of runway action to keep them entertained, but kids also get to pick a prize before they leave.
Between large portions, friendly service, a great value, and interesting theme, it’s never a boring meal at Midfield Cafe.
